01 · The Service

HireBench is a marketplace that assesses engineers and matches them with companies hiring remote talent. We are not an employer of record, staffing agency, or recruiter. Any employment or contracting relationship formed as a result of using the platform is strictly between the company and the engineer.

02 · User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities under your account. Engineers agree to complete assessments and interviews honestly and without unauthorised assistance; any breach of academic integrity will result in removal from the bench.

03 · Content and Data

You retain rights to any data you submit. You grant us a licence to use, store, display, and process your content (including interview recordings and assessment code) to provide and improve the service. We will not use candidate recordings in public marketing material without explicit, separate consent.

04 · Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes attempting to reverse-engineer our assessment tools, scraping user data, using the platform to spam candidates or companies, or circumventing our billing process for hires made through the platform.

05 · Fees and Payment

Engineers are not charged to join the bench. Companies agree to pay the fees specified in their service agreement when a hire is made. Circumventing our platform to hire a candidate discovered through HireBench without paying the agreed fee violates these Terms.

06 · Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for the performance of any engineer hired through the platform, nor for any disputes arising between companies and engineers. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

07 · Changes

We may modify these Terms occasionally. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
